Meridian firefighters respond to house fire, rescue family dog

According to a recent news release, Meridian Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on the 4000 block of West Dillon Drive in Meridian on May 26 at 8:21 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters were able to see smoke coming from the garage.

Crews rescued the family dog and verified no one was inside the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Star Fire, Eagle Fire, Ada County Emergency Medical Services, Idaho Power, Intermountain Gas and Meridian Police responded to the scene. The Meridian Fire Department extends its gratitude for the assistance of other agencies during this incident.
