How many League of Legends skins, chromas, emotes, and icons were released in 2020?
Riot has shared the total number of Skins, Summoner Icons, Emotes, Chromas, and other cosmetics releases for League of Legends in 2020.
Before 2020, Riot was getting a lot of backlashes from the League community for only prioritizing popular champions for new skins while few champions were left without a new skin for thousands of days.
However, at the start of 2020, Riot shared their goal for releasing new skins for unpopular champions who didn’t get any new skin in 1000 or more days. And by the end of this year, apparently, it seems like, Riot has kept their promise as they have already released new skins for some champions like Skarner, Kindred, Xerath, Bard, and some others.
After a successful year in terms of cosmetics, League of Legends’ QA Lead of Skins, Riot Katey has now shared how many skins, summoner icons, emotes, chromas, and other items they have released in 2020.
League of Legends’ total content in 2020:
- 144 Skins
- 12 Ward Skins
- 370 Summoner Icons
- 133 Emotes
- 744 Chromas
- 280 Little Legends (all tiers included)
- 15 Loading Screen Border Thematics
From all these contents, while skins like Astronaut Bard, Battle Queen Katarina, and some others received a lot of positive feedback from the community, Seraphine’s ultimate skin also received a lot of hate for not being an ultimate skin standard. Moreover, Riot has also announced that they will not make ultimate skin like Elementalist Lux ever again in League of Legends.
As the Season 11 of League of Legends is already knocking at the door, we can not wait to see what Riot is planning to bring in 2021.
