To start this tale, go to the bamboo groves north of Yarikawa Stronghold and talk to the bandit you find there.

Bandits have been active around here. Would be a good idea to stop them if I can.

Quest stages of A Debt Repaid

1. Speak with the bandit

Talk to a bandit named Gomyo and you'll hear from him that he's looking for revenge on a group of bandits of which he was once a member for misleading him and for killing his family. Then you will decide to help him get his vengeance.

In Kushi, I met an injured bandit who claimed he killed the other bandits around him. When I questioned him, he said they killed his family. He sounded sincere. I will help him get his vengeance.

2. Follow Gomyo to the camp / Survey the bandit camp

Go with him to the edge of the cliff from which you can see the whole encampment and look at the lookouts camp at the foot of the cliff and at the three buildings in the main encampment. When you're finished watching, Gomyo will rush to attack the bandits in the camp below.

3. Defend Gomyo

Help him kill three bandits in this camp. Chain assassination seems to be the best solution.

Then Gomyo will run to another small scout camp and attack the three bandits there. Run after him and help him. Once they're killed, Gomyo won't charge further.

4. Defeat the bandits

You must now eliminate several bandits in the main camp. They all are common bandits so you shouldn't have a problem with them. You can do it in any way that suits you. For example, you can use the explosives that are in the camp.

5. Search for Gorohachi / Defend Gomyo

When these bandits are dead too, go to the house where Gorohachi lives. You won't find him there.

Go outside and you will see that Gorohachi rrived to the camp in the company of several other bandits. After a short talk, Gomyo will rush to them and start fighting them. There will be quite a few of them, but again they will be just common bandits. You can't let them kill Gomyo, because then the mission will fail.

Gomyo will survive, but he'll be deadly wounded. His last wish will be that you give him a proper burial, which you will do. This will end this tale.
